What this website stores on your device. In short: nothing.

No cookies, no browser storage

The Heroes and Forsaken website does not set cookies and does not use local storage, session storage or similar technologies. It has no analytics, advertising pixels or embedded social media, so there is nothing to accept or refuse and no cookie banner.

The website reads your device's reduced-motion setting to tone down animation. That setting stays on your device and is not saved or sent anywhere by the website.

Resources the website loads

All fonts, images and scripts are served from this website's own server. No third-party content is loaded when you view a page. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical request information to deliver the pages; see the Privacy Notice.

If you use the email sign-up, what you enter is sent to Google Apps Script when you press Sign up. That request carries no cookies, and nothing is stored on your device. See Email updates in the Privacy Notice.

Links to other services

Opening a link to Steam, the Epic Games Store, YouTube, X or Instagram takes you to that service, which may use its own cookies under its own policy.

If this changes

If we ever add cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary, we will list them here with their purpose and duration and ask for your consent before they run, with an equally easy way to refuse or withdraw it.
